Freedom Trust has been working for the cause of physically challenged persons and has helped them with mobility aids. We give mobility to these people with disability and that is a fundamental right. Patients with residual polio or cerebral palsy need orthoses, or callipers, which are custom made appliances given to paralyzed or weak limbs fit to the patients, enabling them to walk erect. An orthosis is a mechanical device fitted to the body to maintain it in an anatomical or functional position. Each mobility aid is custom made to the beneficiary and the process ensures fitment. This project also helps children with disabilities. We provide them with wheelchairs, crutches, standing frames, callipers, special furniture and modular shoes.
